The Annual International Festival of Russian Culture “Green Oasis” took place for the 2nd time in Hurghada and became a tradition. It was organized by the Russian Cultural Center in Cairo, the newspaper “Moscow Komsomolets in Egypt” and the Cultural Center “Intersphere”(Russia, Voronezh). During 3 days, from the 23rd to 25th of November at Senzo Mall, artists of different ages (from small kids of age 6 to veterans of the Second World War!) were fascinating the audience with folkloric and modern art: musical, vocal and dance compositions. Most participants came from Voronezh (Russia): “Rosinka” dance group, vocal group “Monpansie”, soloists Sofia Onopchenko & Yuri Vasiliev, musical group “Korobeiniki”, Wooden Spoon Players and a unique group of veterans of the 2nd World War “Frontovichka”, with Art Director Alexandr Dukarevich. Impressive performances were prepared by Sabirova Art-Studio from Hurghada: contemporary dance compositions and a choir with accordionists. At the final ceremony, presents and souvenirs from sponsors and organizers of the festival were presented to each group of participants with their teachers. The special prize from “MK in Egypt” was given to Elias Bulygin for his heartfelt and clear voice.
