Bauer is doing a lot to support customers here in the Red Sea. Is this only to earn money?

Alex. Abbas: No! Of course we want new business but this support is to help the customers and provide them with a service equal to that which is received in Germany. We strive to ensure exacting standards here in the Red Sea area and to develop the customer’s knowledge base of our products and services.

How is the business for Bauer in Egypt?

Alex. Abbas: There is huge potential in the Red Sea. We have lost a lot of customers here because Bauer was not present in the last few years. Now we are here and we have already started to build our reputation. Myself, and also my qualified team will do our best to ensure that.

The Team of Bauer is completely from Germany?

Alex. Abbas: No, of course not. From the beginning we wanted to have a Mixed Team and we hired 3 Engineers from Cairo and the Alexandria University. I personally trained them to become qualified engineers following BAUER Germany’s regulations and safety standards.
Then we hired a German engineer who worked already before with high pressure compressors.  And, don´t forget my secretary, she is also from Germany and responsible for the office. So we are a mixed team to complement one another.

What do you plan for the future of BAUER Kompressoren LTD in the Red Sea?

Alex. Abbas: First of all we have to move to a bigger location because our office and workshop was only a temporary solution. We hope to move in mid of January but we will be in the same building just beside our current office.  Then we will have more space for workshop and showroom.
We have some additional plans which we want to realize in the next 2 years but this is a secret for the moment. Let me just say we will have more branches in Egypt.

Alex you are the Manager for Bauer Egypt, what exactly is your background?

Alex. Abbas: I studied in Germany to become an electrical engineer, and then I worked in this field in Adam Opel AG (German car factory) and with SIEMENS Company in the technical office for generating plants. I moved to Dominican Republic for seven years and ran my own diving school. After which I came back to Germany in 2000 I started work with BAUER Munich as a Service engineer. I was responsible for customers in the whole of Europe because of my knowledge of languages. Then in 2006 I was sent from Munich to Egypt to develop and drive the business in the Red Sea. Now I take care of our customers in Egypt.

What do you offer in this free check up for Bauer Compressors?

Alex. Abbas: We will only check BAUER Compressors. In this check we do not charge any fees. Our qualified team will check the condition of the compressors by measuring all intermediate pressures and filter systems as well as check the running condition. Finally we give a report and if the customer wants they can get a breathing air check with a certificate from BAUER for their compressors.
