Aqualung , now officially opened in Egypt: Already very well known among divers all around the world, Aqualung started manufacturing diving equipment for professionals 60 years ago. Created by Jacques Yves Cousteau, la Spirotechnique was a small French company famous for its first regulator manufactured for scuba divers. Considering that for the European divers Egypt is a fantastic destination and the Red Sea area spots like Hurghada, Sharm el Sheikh and Marsa Alam very much appreciated, Aqualung have decided to be directly represented on the field in order to better serve its main customers such as diving centres and dive shops. Officially opened on May 17th, the company is now located in Hurghada close to the harbour and our facilities consist of head offices, showroom, warehouse and maintenance workshop. May 17th and 18th were “open doors” and we were very happy for our customers to visit our new location and to be introduced to our team. The grand opening cocktail party took place on May 17th in the evening at the Intercontinental Hotel in Hurghada, Don Rockwell Aqualung CEO and Jean Luc Diainville Aqualung Egypt chairman took the opportunity to address their best wishes to the new subsidiary in front of our prestigious guests coming from all over Egypt especially for this occasion. Sinai’s beautiful coast line and its diving centres are also part of our main consideration as well as the area around Marsa Alam and we will visit these two sites on a monthly basis.
